Public gates open at 11 a.m. Central on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Ward County Sports Complex in Monahans. Texas BBQ Bash identifies the event site as the baseball/softball fields at West 10th Street and South Helen Avenue. Its volunteer-led nonprofit uses BBQ gatherings to support local charitable recipients, including youth programs and volunteer fire departments. Public admission is free; the paid cook-off is a separate participation option.
The public program includes People’s Choice sampling, shopping vendors, food, inflatables and face painting. The handbook places appetizer sampling from noon to 5:30 p.m., with one People’s Choice vote per person through the teams’ QR codes. The car-show registration page sets the show for 11 a.m.–3 p.m., with awards at 3:30 p.m.; entrants load in from 9–11 a.m. and pay a $30 entry fee on the event day. General visitors can attend without entering a vehicle.
The current organizer lineup places Chris Deanda at 12:30 p.m., Los Dudes at 2 p.m., Jerry Hart at 3:30 p.m. and Clay Creek at 5 p.m. Raffles and BBQ awards follow from 6–7:30 p.m. Jesse Joe and Kody West are the evening performers. Confirm their starting times before planning a late arrival: the downloadable schedule begins its evening block at 7:30 p.m., while the handbook and homepage begin Jesse Joe’s set at 8 p.m. Both list music through 11 p.m.
Use the linked operations map for the marked public parking and northeast public entrance. Friday cook-team access is on the south side from West 10th Street, and the car-show entrance is on the west; those are distinct from public entry. The map shows restrooms and volunteer information. Glass containers are prohibited, and the handbook prohibits public golf carts, ATVs and similar motor vehicles in the cook-off area. For an accessible arrival or another visitor question, contact info@texasbbqbash.com and follow current on-site directions.
The organizer’s form lists a $500 four-meat competition entry and an optional $200 jackpot package. Registered teams begin move-in at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16, with a 6 p.m. cooks’ meeting. Saturday’s chicken, ribs, pork butt and brisket turn-ins run hourly from noon through 3 p.m. Kids Q is a separate steak-cooking competition for ages 6–17, with junior and senior divisions and a 4 p.m. turn-in. Its handbook lists $50 entry and requires the child to prepare and cook independently; an adult may only help open and close the grill. Read the current forms and rules before registering.

Use the organizer’s Get Involved page to reach the cook-team, Kids Q, car-show, vendor and volunteer forms. The current vendor form lists a $100 setup fee but contains an April setup reference alongside the October event date; confirm setup instructions directly before committing. The organizer says its handbook may change. Recheck the current program and map before traveling. Its own gallery offers photographs of previous editions; those images show earlier events, and are linked rather than reproduced here.
